St. Mary Hosts 64th Annual Knights of Columbus Charity Ball

St. Mary Mokena hosted the 64th Annual Knights of Columbus Charity Ball for the Joliet Assembly on Saturday, October 14th. Through the event, the Knights raised $3,000 and donated the funds to Birthright of Joliet, Catholic Charities of Joliet, and The Deaf Apostolate of Joliet.

In attendance was Bishop Emeritus R. Daniel Conlon of Joliet, who celebrated the 5:00 PM Mass preceding the charity ball.

Tim Cosgrove, Faithful Comptroller for the Knights of Columbus Joliet Assembly, presented $1,000 checks to representatives from the three charities, which the organization has supported since 2011.

According to Cosgrove, each charity will receive additional donations still to be determined. The charities are chosen based on their commitment to and following of church teaching.
