Mokena, IL, October 17, 2017 — Saint Mary Mokena Men’s Ministry will hold its kickoff event on Saturday, October 28th, 2017 at 8 a.m. with Mass, breakfast and a presentation by Father Burke Masters, official chaplain for the Chicago Cubs and vocation director for the Diocese of Joliet.
Father Masters was ordained on June 1, 2002 out of Mundelein Seminary. After serving four years as an associate pastor at St. Mary Parish in West Chicago, he became vocation director for the Diocese of Joliet, which he remains this day. He has been the Chicago Cubs chaplain since 2013. His talk at the Men’s Ministry kickoff will focus on being a Catholic man in today’s society.
“We invite all men ages 18 and over to what promises to be a spiritually formative event,” says Bob Prskalo, Men’s Ministry Coordinator at Saint Mary Mokena. “Men’s Ministry is a fantastic opportunity for men of all ages to bond, growing together in their love of Christ.”
