Earlier this month, some Saint Mary Knights of Columbus members brought fun and cheer to the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart Convent in Frankfort during a Christmas party and Bingo event.
Gifts and prizes were festively laid out on a table, awaiting the excited Bingo winners after each round. The event drew 18 sisters, and six Knights were involved with organizing it.
After the sisters had their fill of Bingo and prizes, the Knights led them in singing Christmas carols, accompanied by keyboard music. The day ended with some delicious punch and a variety of scrumptious cookies.
The annual event has been organized since the 1980s, and is always a good time–not just for the sisters, who have an opportunity for fun and prizes, but also for the Knights, who get to bring a smile to the sisters’ faces.
