St. Mary Mokena is welcoming everyone to come experience “Behold,” a candlelit evening of Eucharistic Adoration and sacred music designed to instill beauty and calm into everyone who attends.
Attendees enter to pray before the Blessed Sacrament in a dark church lit only by candles as live sacred music is sung in the background.
“Behold is designed to foster an encounter with beauty,” says Father Mark Bernhard, parochial vicar at St. Mary Mokena. “Beauty pulls us out of the ordinary and toward God. It’s a reminder that God is in control, especially during these chaotic times.”
“Behold” began in November and is planned to continue once every month.
