Where are you on your faith journey? The 2020 Lenten Men’s Retreat at St. Mary Mokena will seek to answer this question on Saturday, February 29th.
The free, one-day retreat will begin with Mass at 8:00 am and continue with meals, discussions, and group activities in the Church Hall throughout the day. Although the retreat lasts until 4:30 pm, men are welcome to stay only part of the time if that is all their schedule allows.
“During the retreat, we’ll learn how God created us perfectly in the beginning and how we have strayed from that perfection,” explains Nick DiGiovanni, the spiritual formation leader for the retreat. “Through four witness talks and group bonding, we’ll learn how to get our spiritual lives back on track.”
The four witness talks will focus on the following:
- Catholic Roots
- Overcoming Inconsistencies in One’s Spiritual Life
- The Holy Eucharist
- Reconciliation
The retreat will end with Adoration, Benediction, and confessions, providing an opportunity for the men to pray and reflect on their spiritual lives and what they learned during the retreat.
All men are invited to register for free by filling out this Men’s Retreat Sign-Up Form or by contacting Danielle Kuboushek at dkuboushek@stmarymokena.org.
